Top 5 Food and Drink Apps on Android in Africa Q4 2022

During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 food and drink apps on the Android platform in Africa showed varied trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights these performance trends.

McDonald's witnessed significant fluctuations in weekly downloads. Starting with around 52K downloads in late September, the numbers peaked at 142.9K in mid-December. The weekly active users also saw a notable rise, starting from 340K in late September and reaching 867.3K by mid-December.

Jumia Food: Food Delivery experienced a steady download rate with a slight decline towards the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at 71.4K in late November but dropped to 25.4K by the end of December. Weekly active users, however, remained relatively stable, peaking at approximately 572K in late November before slightly declining to 442.7K by the end of December.

KFC Egypt - Order Food Online showed a varying download trend, with a significant spike to 104.7K in late October and another increase to 91.8K in the last week of December. Active users also saw a rise, starting from 302.8K in late September and reaching nearly 479.6K by the end of December.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery maintained a consistent download trend, with minor fluctuations around the 30K mark throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable, starting at 356.6K in late September and ending at 331.7K by the end of December, showing a slight decrease.

talabat: Food, grocery & more exhibited a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 51.1K in the last week of December. Active users showed a consistent upward trend as well, starting from 640.4K in late September and reaching approximately 769.8K by the end of December.
